Chairman Tang Jie, Technical Director Huang Xudong, and the other core founders who have been committed to the research and development of pu-erh tea at the former State-owned Liming Tea Factory possess over 20 years of tea-making expertise and management experience. Due to the restructuring, five middle and senior management staff of the former Liming Tea Factory founded the Menghai County Nanqiao Tea Industry Co. Ltd., namely, Nanqiao Tea Factory. Building upon the traditional tea-making practices, we have made ongoing improvements and refinements. In February 2004, we established the "Chefonan" brand of pu-erh tea.
Chefonan
“Chefonan” is the abbreviation of “Cheli, Fohai, Nanqiao”, presently known as Jinghong, Menghai, and Mengzhe - the main sources of pu-erh tea. In an effort to preserve the culture of pu-erh tea, the brand “Chefonan” was created. Since its production, Nanqiao Tea Factory’s pu-erh tea has been highly sought-after, gaining a niche in the pu-erh tea mainstream market due to their superior quality. They offer over a hundred various types of pu-erh tea of origin for aficionados.
